Our Raw Clay is used as a detox for the scalp and hair. Lava clay with deep cleansing properties that gives a fresh and clean feeling to your hair.
For various reasons, it can be good to detox your hair.
Before you start using natural hair care products: It can be good to do a detox before starting natural hair care products so that you get rid of all the substances from your previous hair care routine, then you will feel the effects of your new routine faster. Hair care products sometimes contain non-water soluble substances that can be removed with our Raw clay!.
When you want to refresh your hair: Sometimes you feel like your hair is losing it, nothing feels good – then it may be time to do a detox with our Raw clay. You can often feel this way when the seasons change or you have had a stressful period in your life. Then a detox can reset your hair and you can start over with your hair routine.
When you have been on holiday: Especially a sun holiday, if you swim in a pool with chlorine, or the water in the tap has a lot of minerals or just not as clean water as you are used to. Then it can be good to do a detox with Raw clay when you get home to make sure that nothing is left behind and will damage your hair in the long run.
- Take 2 tablespoons of Raw clay for shoulder-length hair.
- Place the clay in a bowl and pour water just enough to cover the clay pieces.
- Let stand for 3-5 minutes then stir. Now you have a soft, smooth clay.
- Massage into dry hair, making sure to get the clay in everywhere, at the base and in the lengths.
- Let sit under a towel for 5-15 minutes. 5 minutes if you have dry hair and 15 minutes if you have oily hair.
- Then rinse well and wash your hair as usual or with your new hair care routine.
